This presentation will discuss some of the interesting new features that were implemented with the release of BMC MAINVIEW for CICS Version 6.3.00. MAINVIEW for CICS Version 6.3.00 was a major new release of the product that provided support for the latest release of IBM’s CICS Transaction Server Version 4.1 (commonly known as CICS TS41). In addition, BMC MAINVIEW for CICS Version 6.3.00 implements a new set of administrative views to manage the MVCICS Task Kill Exit Threshold Table as well as several new views to help sites manage CICS resoursces. Among the features that will be discussed are:
- Support for CICS TS 4.1
- Expansion of the MAINVIEW for CICS Transaction Performance History Record
- New ability to select MVCICS Transaction Performance History data to be viewed based upon the USERDATA supplied by sites using the CMRCUEX user exit to enhance their transaction history data.
- New Administrative functions to manage the Task Kill Threshold Table
- New views and actions to support your CICS PIPELINE resources
- New views and actions to support your CICS URIMAP resources
- New data and actions to support your CICS TCPIP and WEB resource settings (under the CREGSYS view)
